A dutiful citizen noticed something odd about a car driving on
Highway 111 in Dartmouth last night: it was driving without a front
tire.
The citizen called police at 8:45 p.m. and followed the vehicle near Mic Mac Boulevard. Police took over the pursuit as the three-wheeled car turned onto the MacKay Bridge to Halifax.
Police pulled the car over at the Windsor Street exchange and arrested the 28-year-old man behind the wheel. He was charged with impaired driving and is due in court Jan. 26.
Police remind drivers that driving inebriated can kill people.
